Community Investments
u003cpu003eAt Tamalpais Trust, we believe that access to capital is a critical factor in developing capacity and promoting long-term, self-directed prosperity and economic opportunity within Native American and other Indigenous communities. Through our Community Investments program, we have invested capital directly in Indigenous-owned businesses and nonprofits. We have also invested through intermediaries such as u003ca href=u0022https://www.oweesta.org/u0022 data-mce-href=u0022https://www.oweesta.org/u0022u003eOweesta Corporationu003c/au003e, which facilitates the financing of Native Community Development Finance Institutions (CDFIs) to provide capital within their own communities.
